Officers responded around 12 p.m. on Tuesday to the 400 block of Rice Street in reference to two gunshots that were heard and a man who appeared to be bleeding from a gunshot wound, according to a Springfield police report.

“They did have a male walk in with a gunshot to the leg,” the report said.

Officers then responded to SRMC where they talked to the victim who said he was getting into the Charger that was in his driveway when he forgot something inside.
