Over $1,200 worth of tools reported stolen from Springfield garage

A Springfield garage was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of items were reported stolen.

Springfield police responded Monday morning to the 500 block of North Fountain Avenue on a report of a burglary, according to a police report.

When officers arrived, the resident told them that someone kicked in the walk-in door of his garage and took over $1,200 worth of tools sometime between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.

According to the report, $950 worth of extension ladders, a $200 push lawn mover, a $130 cordless drill, and a $100 bicycle were all taken from the garage.
