One of Clark County’s most wanted arrested, accused of stealing candy bars

One of Clark County’s most wanted criminals has been arrested after allegedly stealing 16 candy bars from Speedway.

Heather Shaw, 34, of Springfield appeared in Clark County Municipal Court on Tuesday on charges of falsification, failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, receiving stolen property and seven counts of theft.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Shaw was listed as an inmate in the Clark County Jail.

Shaw was arrested on Monday after Springfield Police Division Officers were dispatched to Speedway at 1241 W. North St. in reference to a theft, according to an affidavit filed in the case.

After officers located Shaw in front of the Family Dollar on West Main Street, she allegedly told officers her name was, “Bobby Sue Harbor.”

“(Officer) was able to positively identify her from finding insurance paperwork in her purse with her first and last name on it,” the affidavit said. “Ms. Shaw then admitted to stealing 16 ‘Take Five’ candy bars from Speedway prior to officers making contact with her.”

Officers then took Shaw back to the Speedway, where employees were able to positively identify her.

“The candy bars were returned to the store,” the affidavit said.

In addition to being arrested on charges of falsification and multiple counts of theft, Shaw had, “multiple warrants,” out for her arrest, the affidavit said.

Shaw was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court in April on charges of theft and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

The next court date for Shaw’s charges has not yet been scheduled.
