2 men grazed by bullets in Springfield shooting, police say

Two men were grazed by bullets during a shooting in Springfield, according to a police report.

Springfield police began their investigation at around 3 a.m. Sunday when they were called to the scene at a home on the 800 block of Mound Street.

“Officers spoke with (two men) who had superficial graze wounds to their left sides,” the report says. “(One man) said he was dropping (the other) off. He further stated … he saw an unknown car pull up beside theirs and began shooting.”

The men didn’t know who shot at them, the report says.

The car fled the scene westbound, the report says. Both men were treated at the scene and released, according to the report.
