When police arrived, they found the victim who “had blood coming from his left arm, left side of his chest and left side of his face.”
The victim told police he was walking south on Clifton Avenue when three men, all wearing black pants and white shirts came up to him.
“He stated he was walking, and one suspect grabbed him and believes he was attempting to take his book bag. The second suspect then began slicing him and the third suspect stood there,” the report stated. “They then ran south.”
Police checked the area but were unable to find the three men.
According to the report, the victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for his cuts.
No other suspect or witness information was available, and Springfield police continue their investigation into this incident.
