Northeastern school building closed because of mechanical issue

One of the Northeastern Local School District’s buildings closed Tuesday due to a mechanical issue.

Around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, a concern was raised at the Northeastern PK-12 campus and the school was closed out of caution, according to the district’s website.

The school closed because of a mechanical issue related to plumbing in the building, according to Superintendent John Kronour.

Any students who were dropped off Tuesday morning were held on the buses until parents could pick them up, and bus riders were returned home.

School will resume Wednesday for all students at the Northeastern campus.
