UPDATE @ 3:38 p.m.:

The victim of the altercation at McDonald’s on 4770 N. Main St. has been identified as 28-year-old Nicholas Malone from Enon.

Malone was in the passenger seat of a Mercury Mountaineer that flipped over a concrete wall after a physical altercation ensued in the restaurant drive-through line. The driver was not injured.

Police told News Center 7’s Malik Perkins the occupants of the other vehicles involved fled the scene before they arrived.

UPDATE @ 7:40 a.m.:

A 28-year-old male was killed in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 4770 N. Main St., around 2:45 a.m, according to a release.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, driven by a 32-year-old man, was in the drive-through line at McDonald’s when some type of physical altercation occurred between the occupants of the Mercury Mountaineer, a Lincoln towncar and a Toyota Camry.

During the altercation, the Mercury Mountaineer drove north through the parking lot and struck a large rock, causing the vehicle to travel over a concrete wall and flip onto its side, the release stated.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but his 28-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lincoln towncar and Toyota Camry fled before crews arrived.

Anyone with information about the crash or occupants of either vehicle that left the scene, contact Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center at 937-225-4357.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit.


A fatal accident occurred at McDonald's, 4770 N. Main Street, early Saturday morning in Harrison Twp., according to Montgomery County Sheriff deputies.

The incident was reported around 3:00 a.m.
