The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The suspect, Christopher Shaffer, was located a short time later and admitted to striking the employee. Police said Shaffer was found with blood on his hand.
A police report says the employee got in line in front of the suspect to get his vehicle washed, and that a sign on the property states company vehicles have priority in the car wash.
Shaffer, who had been waiting about 30 minutes to get his car washed, exited his vehicle, went to the victim’s vehicle, reached for the victim inside, grabbed him by his coat and made the threat. He punched the victim twice in the face and then fled.
Shaffer is charged with assault.
