Overnight: Conditions will be clear and chilly with temperatures dropping to the lower 30s, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Some frost is possible by morning.

Wednesday: A cold morning is in store with temperatures climbing through the 30s. There will be sunshine with a few clouds during the day as highs reach closer to normal in the lower to middle 50s. Clouds will thicken overnight and a few showers are possible by morning. Overnight temperatures will fall to the upper 30s.

Thursday: A strong storm system will affect the region through the day as scattered rain showers move into the area during the morning. As temperatures fall from the northwest, some spots may mix with snowflakes before everyone transitions to light snow before ending into the evening.
It will be a chilly day with highs in the middle 40s. Some light snow accumulation is possible, especially on elevated surfaces, which will likely be the case north of Interstate 70. Gusty winds between 20 and 30 mph also are possible during the late afternoon and into the night.
Temperatures will plummet behind this system so temperatures drop into the lower 20s overnight. Although the ground is still pretty warm, bridges and overpasses might become slick.

Saturday: It will be a quiet start to the weekend. Some will likely will develop early with temperatures starting in the middle 20s. We will have sunshine for the afternoon with highs in the middle 40s.
