The crash was reported in the 8100 block of Dayton Springfield Road, north of Haddix Road, just before 10 a.m. Tuesday.
State troopers said the driver was distracted by attempting to clean something off their door when they crashed the car into a fire hydrant, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver suffered only minor injuries but was transported to an area hospital for treatment, state troopers said.
The driver will be cited with failure to control and distracted driving.
