A burglar got away with cash and a handgun after breaking into Custom Cycle, 2107 W. Main St., Springfield.

The owner of the shop reported that some time overnight Friday into Saturday someone broke into his business and removed items, according to the Springfield police report.

The burglar took cash from a filing cabinet and drawer as well as a handgun — a .25-caliber Raven Arms piece.

Police said the owner lives upstairs in the same building as Custom Cycle.

The burglar broke the wood on the rear sliding door of the business then cut the straps that were securing the door and entered, according to the report.
