Two men destroy crops with pick up truck

Clark County deputies have one in custody and one suspect on the loose after two men damaged crops and vehicles late Friday night.

Deputies were called to South Charleston on reports that a pick up truck was traveling through farm fields doing extensive damage to newly-planted crops, according to reports.

The truck then left the field and hit parked vehicles, including a tractor, on the same property, said a deputy.

The deputies followed the truck and the two male suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. One of the men was detained by police but the second is still at-large after a K-9 unit lost his scent in a creek bed, said deputies.

Deputies also noted that the truck the suspects were driving was reported stolen out of London, Ohio.
