Springfield police began their investigation on Feb. 1 when they were assigned a case where Pratt was accused of having sex with a 12-year-old, an affidavit filed in the case says.

“On Feb. 7, a forensic interview of the child victim was conducted at the Clark County Child Advocacy Center…” the affidavit says. “The child victim disclosed … that she had consensual sex with Mr. Pratt at an address on Lagonda Avenue.”

On March 29, the affidavit says police spoke with Pratt.

“Mr. Pratt was read his Miranda rights and stated he understood them,” the affidavit says. “Mr. Pratt then corroborated much of the child victim’s offense. Mr. Pratt acknowledged he thought the child victim was 15 years of age at the time of the offense.”
