When police arrived, they spoke with the victim who said, “her ex-boyfriend and father of her child just tried to run her off the road,” the report says. “She stated during this attempt, (the suspect) lost control and wrecked his car into a ditch and fled the scene.”

The victim told officers that she and the suspect had been arguing all day until she left for work. When she was on her way home from work around 10 p.m., she saw her other vehicle parked at the entrance of Ronez Manor Apartments with the suspect behind the wheel, the report says.
While driving on East Home Road, she saw the suspect pull out behind her and follow her as she turned onto North Belmont Avenue.
“She stated that (the suspect) started to accelerate behind her, attempting to pass her. She stated that as he passed, he swerved to hit her car, but she was able to slow down and swerve out of his way,” the report says. “(The victim) stated that at that time, (the suspect) lost control of the vehicle, it spun 180 degrees leaving the left side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch.”
The victim then pulled over to check the suspect was okay before he attempted to walk away and get into her parked car.

“(The victim) was able to jump on (the suspect’s) back in an attempt to stop him from taking her keys. She said they wrestled inside the car and was able to grab her keys. She said he broke the key ring and took her car keys and again fled northbound on foot into the woods,” the report says. “During the struggle, she stated that she was struck in the stomach by (the suspect).”
A warrant was requested for the suspect for felonious assault and domestic violence.
