The charges stem from an incident in late May when police were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Chestnut Avenue, court records say. The victim told police she was babysitting Stewart’s children and an alleged argument over ensued when Stewart returned home, according to court records.

The victim told police Stewart allegedly tried to gouge her eyes out and grabbed her around the neck. Court records say police noticed scratches around the victim’s neck and red marks around her right eye.
