A Springfield woman has been accused of kicking an officer in the chest and spitting on medics who tried to treat her.
Adrianne S. Allen, 32, of 638 S. Clairmont Ave., was scheduled to be arraigned today in Clark County Municipal Court on charges of assault, obstructing official business and harassment with a bodily substance. Springfield Police Division officers were patrolling East High Street about 7 p.m. Oct. 3 when they allegedly saw Allen stumbling on a sidewalk.
When they went to check on her, her speech was difficult to understand, according to court records. Officers also allegedly found a gallon-size bottle of vodka that was half empty in her backpack.
She allegedly resisted when officers tried to take her to the hospital, court records say, kicking an officer in the chest and biting another officer on the hand.
She also allegedly spit at medics and officers, according to the report.
