Springfield police are investigating four-weekend robberies.

The robberies took place at the Beverage Dock on East Home Road, the BP Gas Station on South Limestone, The Ooh Ooh Drive Thru on Selma Road and the Domino’s on South Limestone. No arrests have been made in the cases and it is unclear whether the robberies are connected.

Springfield police were called around 10 p.m. on Friday to the Beverage Dock, according to a police report.

A store employee told police that a man came into the busined, opened the office door, pulled out a knife and demanded money be placed in a bag, according to the police report.

The employee said he gave the man the money and the supect ran from the building.

The man got away with around $130, according to the report. The man was wearing a hood but did not have his face covered, the report says.

Springfield police were then called Saturday at around 9 p.m. to the BP Gas Station for a reported robbery, a police report says.

“Dispatch advised a male with a red hood covering his face had attempted to rob the store with a butcher knife,” the report says.

An employee said she was smoking outside when a man grabbed her and demanded she go inside and give him money. The woman was led inside by the man before running away, the report says.

“She advised she ran out to the north side of the store and yelled for help,” the report says.

The man fled east toward Erie Avenue, according to the report.

Two hours later police were called to Ooh Ooh Drive Thru where a man reportedly robbed the store with a knife.

“(The employee) was then confronted by the listed suspect who came at him with a knife that was in his right hand,” the report says. The employee told police the man placed the knife to the side of his neck and threatened to kill him.(The employee) immediately pushed the suspect away from him and the suspect fled out the west door to his silver bike and took off southeast down the alley way,” according to the report.

Then on Sunday police were called to a robbery at Domino’s at around 12:45 p.m.

An employee was reportedly attacked by the robber wearing body armor, according to an incident report.

“The unknown suspect jumped on the counter demanding the money in the register,” an incident report read. “He then jumped down behind the counter threatening to shoot the employees if they did not listen…then struck (the victim) in the back of the head with the…gun knocking him to the ground.”.

The robber was described as being a black male, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds and was wearing a green military top and bottoms. He also had on body armor, the report says. The robber also was wearing tan boots, a ski mask and hood over his head showing only his eyes. Witnesses also said he had a tattoo under his left eye.

The worker attacked during the robbery suffered a cut to the back of his head and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The robber got away with an undetermined amount of money from the store’s register, according to the report.
