Springfield man indicted on multiple drug charges

A Springfield man accused of selling drugs to a woman who overdosed was indicted this week.

Diamond McClanahan, 58, is charged in Clark County Common Pleas Court with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, four counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, four counts aggravated possession of drugs and illegal manufacture of drugs.

Authorities arrested McClanahan on Feb. 19 during a traffic stop when police allegedly found him in possession of 25 aluminum bindles with heroin inside, according to a separate police report. He was also found with another small bag of meth and two cigars containing marijuana, the report says.

Through an investigation, police said they were able to connect McClanahan with drugs that caused a woman to overdose last month.

Other indictments in Clark County were:

Jenny Rebecca Bainbridge, 45, 1220 W. High St in Springfield: possession of cocaine.

Shawn David Williams, 35: two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of offenses involving tampering with identifying numbers to conceal identity of vehicle or part.

Tony Quintrell Jackson, 37, 135 S. Light St in Springfield: two counts of having weapons under disability, carrying concealed weapon and possession of cocaine.

Shane Eugene Stephenson, 39: failure to comply with order or signal of police officer.

Chad D. Baker, 37: aggravated possession of drugs.

Christopher Allen Fahl, 34: two counts of burglary.

Brendon Ryan Freeman, 20, 122 E. Harding Road in Springfield: domestic violence.

James J. Savage, 43: four counts of forgery.

Brian Keith Sears, Jr., 28, 4975 Selma Road in Springfield: two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Ernest Donnan Ewers, 33: Vandalism.

Drake Elliott Lewis, 34: failure to verify current address, failure to register a change of new/ address.

Fredrick Anthony Griffin, 28, 918 Clifton Ave. in Springfield: two counts of having weapons under disability, unauthorized use of motor vehicle and improper handling of firearms in motor vehicle.

Lamar Hameed Jr., 20: indicted for failure to comply with order or signal of police officer and obstructing official business.
