A Springfield man was indicted accused of a violent attack against a woman he knew.

Christopher Fenner, 45 was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court on charges of domestic violence and abduction. He previously pleaded not guilty to similar charges in Clark County Municipal Court.

Springfield police began their investigation when they were called to Springfield Regional Medical Center Nov. 24 where they met a woman who said she had been beaten by Fenner throughout the night.

“(The woman) advised Mr. Fenner got upset and pushed her to the floor,” an affidavit filed with the municipal court charges says. “(The woman) advised every time she attempted to get up Mr. Fenner would push her back down. (The woman) stated after a while Mr. Fenner grabbed her hair and slammed her head off of the floor several times.”

The affidavit says Fenner also kicked and punched her in the arms, legs, back and face and threatened to kill her.

A next court date had not been set in the case, according to online records.
