A Springfield man pleaded not guilty in Clark County Common Pleas Court on Friday to murder and felonious assault charges related to the shooting death of his pregnant girlfriend.
Travis Hypes is accused of shooting Lindsey Marsh, who was 30 weeks pregnant with the couple’s child, on April 5 at a home on McCreight Ave.
A court affidavit said that Hypes told police the couple had gotten into a physical argument. He drew a gun, but he claims it accidentally went off, according to the affidavit.
Marsh later died from the shooting at the hospital, but the baby was successfully delivered.
Hypes’ bond was set at $500,000 cash surety.
