The report says police interviewed the suspects but found no evidence they were involved in the beating. After police returned to the victim at Springfield Regional Medical Center, the victim gave more details, the report says.
“(The victim) went onto state that he was walking with the two males and said something that upset (one of them),” the report says. “(The man) then punched him and knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the face.”
He said it was then the other man he was walking with took a brick in each hand and hit him in the face several times.
The report says the men allegedly took a backpack and $80 from the victim. No arrests have been made in the case.
