Springfield man accused of shooting his mother

A Springfield man is in jail on a $150,000 bond after police say he fired shots inside of a home and one of the bullets hit his mother.

Sie’e Littleton, 25, is booked in the Clark County Jail on two charges of felonious assault.

Police were called to a home on Erie Avenue on Thanksgiving night on reports of a woman who was shot, according to a Springfield Police Division report.

Officers found a woman with a bullet wound to her head, police said, and she was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses at the scene told officers that Littleton had been in an argument with a man inside the home and allegedly fired two shots in his direction, according to the report. One of the bullets struck the woman, who is Littleton’s mother.

Littleton then fled the house, police said.

The victim suffered a wound to her temple but it was a non-life-threatening injury.

A warrant was issued for Littleton’s arrest and he was taken into custody Tuesday morning. ALLISON WICHIE
