Springfield home invaded by gun-wielding men, money stolen

Two men entered a Springfield home late Sunday evening and pointed a gun at residents as they were watching football, stealing money and credit cards.

The men entered the home uninvited at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday night in the 2600 block of Hilltop Avenue, according to a police report.

Once inside, each pointed a gun at one of the victims and told them they were going kill them if they didn’t give them money and other property, the report said. One of the suspects told one of the victims if he looked at him, he would shoot him, it said.

The victims turned over property, including cell phones and a purse.

The suspects, both of whom were wearing dark clothing, fled after taking the items.
