More than 1,000 Ohio doctors were investigated by the State of Ohio Medical Board between 1997 and 2015 for sexual misconduct allegations, and in more than 200 of those cases the doctors faced disciplinary action.

But many of the disciplined doctors were allowed to keep practicing, and even criminal charges in some cases did not result in a physician losing his license.
