Dispatch told officers the victim went back to his house before calling police after the robbery occurred, the report says.

When crews arrived, the victim told them he was walking back to his house from Speedway on West North Street when he was approached by a male.
The victim said he was speaking with the male, who was holding a black pair of Carhartt bibs, the report says.
The victim told police that as the conversation continued, he saw the suspect drop the Carhartt bibs and ‘he pointed a silver handgun at my forehead’,” the report says. “(The victim) went on to say that the suspect demanded, ‘gimme your wallet’ while he pointed the gun at him with his right hand.”
The victim said he gave his wallet to the suspect, who then ran off going southbound on North Shaffer Street.

“(The victim) stated that he collected the Carhartt bibs that the suspect left at the scene and ran back to his residence to call police,” the report says.
According to the report, the suspect was wearing an orange jacket with black trim on the front bottom of the jacket and dark pants.
No arrests have been made.
Springfield police continue their investigation into the robbery.
