Report: Bullet hole, fragment found at Springfield health center

Police are investigating after damage from a bullet was found at a Springfield health center.

Officers were dispatched around 10:25 a.m. on Monday to the Rocking Horse Center, 651 S. Limestone St., “in reference to a bullet hole being found in an east facing window,” according to a Springfield police report.

An employee told police that other staff members found the damage Monday morning after arriving to work.

“She stated there had been an issue overnight where officers had been out in reference to shots fired,” the report said.

A bullet fragment was also found inside the office before police arrived.

No suspect information was available.

Springfield police continue their investigation into this incident.
