The apprehensions were made in the area of Selma Road and York Street, near Keifer Academy alternative school.
Neighborhood resident Bradley Long was not surprised by the activity.
“I sometimes patrol the neighborhood during night, and I do see a lot of prostitution activity,” he said.
Investigators said the five female suspects each entered an unmarked car and offered to perform sex acts on the undercover officers for money. Windle allegedly attempted to flag down an officer’s car while blowing kisses and saying, “Hey baby,” according to a police affidavit.
“I think it’s a good thing that the cops are cutting down on stuff like that because it’s bringing danger to the neighborhood, and putting our kids in jeopardy,” said Long.
Charges brought against the suspects range from solicitation to loitering to engage in solicitation, all misdemeanors. The six suspects pleaded not guilty to all charges Wednesday in Clark County Municipal Court.
