OT patrols look for impaired drivers

At least two local police agencies will step up patrols to look for drunken drivers this weekend using grant money from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.

Springfield Police Division and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office will have overtime patrols on the streets to look for impaired drivers, speeding violations and enforce seat belt laws as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

The extra patrols will run Friday through Monday.
