Over $2,350 worth of items reported stolen during Springfield home burglary

A Springfield home was broken into over the weekend and more than $2,350 worth of items were reported stolen.

Police responded around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to the 130 block of East Grand Avenue on a report of a burglary, according to a police report.

When officers arrived, the homeowner said that he and his girlfriend were at a birthday party between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. when over $2,350 worth of items were stolen.

“When (the victim) arrived home, he saw that the front door was standing half way open,” the report says. “He advised that he went upstairs and saw several items were taken from his bedroom and the upstairs bathroom.”

According to the report, the items stolen include a 32-inch Roku flat screen TV, several tools from a tool bag, a PlayStation 4 with two remotes, a Turtle Beach headset, a Canon photography camera, and an Amazon Alexa speaker.

No suspect information was available.

Springfield police continue their investigation into this burglary.
