Nearly $1,650 worth of TVs, tools reported stolen in Springfield home burglary

A Springfield home was broken into late Friday night and $1,650 worth of items were reported stolen, according to a police report.

Officers responded around 12:15 a.m. Saturday to the 700 block of South Burnett Road on a reported burglary.

When crews arrived, the victim told them when he came home late Friday night he realized TVs and tools had been stolen after unknown suspect(s) entered through a bedroom window sometime between 8 and 10:15 p.m.

“The unknown suspect(s) had climbed on his backyard shed, which was up against his residence, and climbed up into the window after opening it,” the report says. “Once inside, the unknown suspect(s) had taken two TVs of his along with some expensive snap on tool sets.”

The victim also told police that the suspect(s) then used the back door to leave his property with the stolen items.

No suspect information was available and Springfield police continue their investigation into this burglary.
