Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputies have identified the man accused of assaulting his girlfriend on Halloween and then calling 911 to claim she was hit by a car.
Theodore Beach, 30, of New Carlisle, pleaded not guilty tofelonious assault and domestic violence charges in a Clark County Municipal Court arraignment Monday morning. He is booked in the Clark County Jail on $16,000 bond.
The victim suffered “significant” but not life-threatening injuries and went to Miami Valley Hospital, according to the sheriff’s report.
Deputies said their investigation led them to believe she was hurt in an assault and not as a result of the alleged vehicle strike that Beach reported.
