Chris E. Dearmond, 41, of 1751 S. York St., was arrested on a charge of felonious assault, according to a police report.
The men were arguing at a home in the 600 block of Rice Street when Dearmond allegedly punched Nash in the head, said Hutchins.
Nash hit his head on a wall and was knocked unconscious, Hutchins said.
“As he came to, he started having seizures and other medical issues,” Hutchins said.
Nash was listed in critical condition Friday.
Dearmond was taken to the Clark County Jail and pleaded not guilty in municipal court Friday morning.
Judge Thomas Trempe ordered Dearmond held on $20,000 bond.
A separate incident similar to Thursday’s alleged assault occurred in June when a man died after being punched in the head.
Khristerpher E. Robinson, 45, was arrested on felonious assault charges after allegedly punching Warren S. Williams in the face, knocking him unconscious.
Williams was hospitalized and later died.
Robinson is in the Clark County Jail awaiting trial.
