A man sustained several gunshot wounds that included one to the upper chest and one to upper left thigh, according to a police report.

Police say officers witnessed several people gathered around a man lying on the ground.
Mark Craig lives just behind the restaurant and heard the gunfire. He said every Friday and Saturday, there’s always a group of people who hang out in the parking lot playing music, partying and being noisy.
“I heard bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!,” he said.
Craig said he went up to his son’s bedroom where he saw the scene unfold. He said people were yelling and a swarm of police responded. He said police were there until about 7 a.m.
“There’s better ways of solving things than with violence and with guns,” he said. “It’s scary. It is scary. Afraid to go outside, afraid to let my dogs out.”
The victim has been released from Springfield Regional Medical Center.

The second shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex on Perry Street. According to a police report, a man said he was taking out his trash when he was hit with a bullet.
“(The man) stated he was taking the trash out at his residence when he heard one gunshot,” the report says. “(The man) turned and ran back to the house and attempted to get inside the house. He stated as he tried to get into the door the window of the door shattered and cut his arm.”
William Howard, 23, is accused of shooting the man. Court documents say that Howard said was upset with the man, so he walked to his house and fired his 9mm gun at him one time, before fleeing the scene.
Howard pleaded not guilty to felonious assault charges in Clark County Municipal Court on Monday. His bond was set at $20,000.
Another person was detained by police at the time of the incident, but their identity hasn’t been released.

Krystal McArthur lives next door to the apartment where the shooting happened and said she keeps to herself for the most part, but the complex is normally quiet.
She said she was home at the time of the incident and was very scared.
“I heard arguing next door and then I heard the gunshot,” she said. “Then I heard a guy say that he had been shot and then a bunch of cops started to show up.”
The victim was listed in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital on Monday.
A third shooting happened in front of a residence on West Liberty Street near South Plum Street around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say a verbal altercation led to a man being shot in the ankle. A bullet also hit the side of a home.
Officers observed four shell casings in the street, according to a police report.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene. The victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center. No arrests have been made in the case, according to the report.
The shootings come about a week after Springfield Police Division Chief Lee Graf held a Facebook live discussion about the ongoing violence in the city and police efforts to address it.
