Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at a Springfield house earlier this week.

Officers were dispatched around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday to the 1800 block of Rutland Avenue regarding a burglary complaint, according to a Springfield police report.

When police arrived, they spoke with the victim who said that sometime during the day between 1:40 p.m. and 3 p.m., someone entered his house and stole many items.

The victim showed officers camera footage from inside the house of a person entering through a window around 3:41 p.m., the report said.

“When he entered, he went to a side door and let another subject in. Both were males wearing all dark clothing, and at least one of them was wearing a medical face mask covering,” the report said.

According to the report, the items stolen include six video game consoles, 30 video games, four flat screen TVs, two phones, a sound bar, 11 pieces of jewelry, 15 purses, various shoes, clothing and tools.

The suspects also stole the surveillance camera before leaving.

No suspect information was available, and Springfield police continue their investigation.
