3 killed in Springfield shooting: What we’ve learned about the dead

Three are dead following a Tuesday night Springfield murder-suicide.

Police on Wednesday identified Eric Sirons as the shooter. Here is what we know about the victims.

Eric Sirons

Sirons, 56, was a former employee with the Springfield News-Sun and worked for the Chamber of Greater Springfield as the membership director.

The chamber declined to comment on his death to media when reached but did release a statement to its members.

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our chamber team member, membership director, and friend, Eric Sirons."

“Through his role with the chamber and his many volunteer efforts, Eric left an indelible impression on the community. He will be greatly missed.”

Jennifer Sirons 

Jennifer Sirons, 49, was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center where she died, according to Springfield police.

Sirons was a Clark County Juvenile Court employee.

“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a talented county employee,” the Clark County Commissioners said in a statement. “Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends, including many people she worked with at the Clark County Juvenile Court. “

Andrea Heiser 

Heiser was flown to Miami Valley Hospital where she died Wednesday, according to Springfield police.

Heiser was a student at Wright State University, according to the school. She was majoring in statistics.

She was also a former student at Kenton Ridge High School and played volleyball, according to Springfield News-Sun archives.
