Arrests made in home burglary, assault

Anthony Hosier, 44, was arrested by Springfield police Wednesday and charged with aggravated burglary, breaking and entering and a weapons charge in connection to an East Home Road burglary where the victim was assaulted and tied up in his home, police said.

The burglary took place Oct. 2 and was caught on surveillance video inside the home, the Springfield Police Division said. The victim, who asked not to be named for fear of retaliation, received 30 stitches to the head after Hosier and others allegedly beat him in the home invasion, he said.

Hosier pleaded not guilty to the charges in a Clark County Municipal Court arraignment Thursday and is booked in the Clark County Jail on $30,000 bond, according to court records.

Police arrested a juvenile on charges of conspiracy to aggravated burglary charges and have issued warrants to arrest a second man in the case, police said. ALLISON WICHIE
