About $1,500 in clothes, electronics stolen from Springfield home

Springfield police are investigating a burglary where about $1,500 in clothes and valuables were reported stolen.

Police began their investigation Tuesday evening when they were called to a home on the 1100 block of Gable Street. They spoke with the resident of the home who said the suspect came in through a side door.

“The suspect went through all her rooms and stole various items,” the report says.

Included on the list of items stolen was a 42-inch flat screen television, a DVD player. six pairs of jeans valued at $700, a fleece blanket and a black and white diamond necklace.

Police identified a suspect but no arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.
