“The Springfield City School District was deeply saddened to learn of the death of student Kamell Golden, a freshman at Springfield High,” Superintendent Bob Hill said.
Springfield High School had counselors available Thursday for students and staff and will continue to provide these services Friday, he said.
“Wildcat Nation consists of nearly 8,000 students, but on a day like today, we are reminded that we are one family. A loss such as this is tragic and everyone will work through this very hard time together.
“We ask the SCSD community to join us as we continue to keep Kamell’s family and all who loved him in your thoughts as they grieve this unimaginable loss.”
