Seasonal weather for Thursday before Arctic air returns Friday

A slight warmup is expected to return temperatures to seasonal norms for Thursday before another cold front Thursday night brings Arctic air for Friday.

The high for today reached 30 degrees in Dayton and Columbus, and 31 in Cincinnati, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 15 degrees.

A chilly forecast today with most locations remaining below the freezing mark. Overnight lows will dip into the upper teens to lower 20s. Skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 39 degrees Thursday. However, a cold front will arrive and drop temperatures overnight to a low around 16 degrees.

Friday will be mostly sunny but much colder, with a high near 22 degrees. Friday night will be mostly clear with an overnight low around 12 degrees.

Saturday kicks off a warming trend with highs climbing back to near 40 degrees, with temperatures expected to reach the upper 40s on Sunday and Monday before reaching into the 50s on Tuesday.
