A strong cold front will push into the Miami Valley late tonight bringing with it a threat for showers and storms, mainly after midnight.

A few of these storms could reach severe limits.

Damaging wind would be the primary threat with the greatest threat between 11pm to 3am.

Outside of the storms, skies will become mostly cloudy with gusty winds developing. Temperatures will drop back into the lower 50s.

Tonight, make sure your phone is charged before bed and that you have push alerts turned on just in case.

Wednesday: Skies will become partly cloudy as a cold front races away from the area. It will be quite windy with wind gusts out of the west-southwest over 30mph at times. Temperatures will remain mild with highs in the lower 60s.

Thursday: Skies will become mostly cloudy. There is a slight chance for a passing shower late in the day to our north as another cold front moves into the Miami Valley. Temperatures will drop back into the middle 50s.

Friday: A cooler, breezy day is expected under mostly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance for a passing shower with high temperatures in the middle to upper 40s. A few snowflakes could mix in late Friday evening as temperatures fall.

Saturday: Lots of clouds are expected as we start the weekend. Temperatures will be cool with highs only in the middle 40s. There will be the chance for scattered rain or a mix of rain and snow showers.

Sunday: Skies will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures staying cool. There is still the chance for a few rain or snow showers. Highs will be in the middle 40s.
