Threat increases for showers and storms

Expect partly cloudy skies overnight. There is a slight chance for a passing shower, mainly early, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will hold in the middle 60s overnight.

DETAILED FORECAST 

Thursday: Partly cloudy skies will start the day with an increasing chance for showers and storms as we move into the afternoon. A few storms could become strong, especially north of Interstate 70 in the early evening. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Friday: Scattered showers and storms will be likely, especially early in the day. A few strong storms will be possible, mainly south. High swill drop back into the upper 70s.

Saturday: Skies will become mostly sunny with a cool start in the morning in the middle 50s and highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Sunday: Sunshine will start the day with some increase in clouds late in the day. Highs will top out near 80 degrees.

Monday: Scattered showers and storms will return to the region with highs in the upper 70s.
