Boys sectional basketball

Urbana 58, Tippecanoe 39: The Hillclimbers got 12 points from Tristan Singer to knock off third-seeded Tippecanoe in a Division II sectional semifinal. Urbana will play Shawnee at 8 p.m. on Friday at Springfield in the sectional final.

Franklin Monroe 43, Southeastern 37: FM (15-9) got 13 points from Marcus Horner as the Jets soared past Southeastern into the D-IV sectional finals. Duncan Mercer and P.J. Banion combined to score 35 of the team's 37 points in the loss. Southeastern finished the season 12-11.
