SMITH, Teresa K.
Teresa K. Smith, age 67 of Dayton, Ohio, went through the gates of heaven on Decmeber 8, 2020. She was born August 21, 1953, in Lima, OH, to the late Karue and Leora Allen. Teresa is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert D. Smith; son, Roger Michael (Holly) Klofta; daughter, Amanda
Renee (Rob) Dugger; step-daughter, Candy (Keith) Armstrong; grandchildren, Aaron, Evelynn, Emma, Azariah, Kyle, Garrett, Madison, Riley; great-granddaughter, Lily; sister, Millie Allen; half-sister, which she met recently, Ann Allen "Brown"; and nieces and nephews. Teresa had a son that is deceased, John Joseph Klofta. Teresa loved her family and friends. She was blessed to have many close friends. She was the Ladies President for the North Dayton Anglers Conservation Club. Teresa loved the holidays- Halloween was her favorite for she loved to decorate the club along with her crew for the Halloween party. She loved Christmas, and watching her loved ones open their gifts. She loved having friends over for pool parties. Teresa loved to cook, and there was always enough to have food to send home with "Love" to family and friends. She always made what family wanted. She always looked forward to the travel trips that she took with her friends, family and the ladies trips. She loved the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football. She always put everyone else first and spoke her mind if it was needed to be said. She loved her rescue pets, Cody and Lucy. Like Cody, her heart became tired and the cancer and chemo treatments put a toll on her. But now she is free of all pain and rejoicing with all family, friends and Cody, that preceded her and were waiting for her at the gates of heaven. When it's our time to pass through the gates, she will be there with open arms. She will greatly be missed and always be loved. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when all can come together safely at the North Dayton Anglers Conservation Club and on 8-21-2021 for a cookout/pool party, which she always loved to entertain. The wildflowers "her favorite" which will be in full bloom then with warm sunny weather. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Teresa's honor to the Animal Resource Center of Montgomery County or to the North Dayton Anglers Conservation Club Inc., Dayton, OH. Our hearts are filled with sorrow, but in time will be filled with joy, by remembering our times with Teresa. You will be missed, but always loved. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel, Dayton.
