Today will be very warm and mostly cloudy as clouds extend ahead of Hurricane Delta, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Temperatures during the day will again be above normal, with a high near 78 degrees that will fall to a low of around 61 degrees overnight.

Starting just after dawn tomorrow, though, we will see a chance of showers that will last through most of the night as the remnants of Delta push through the area.

The NWS predicts that Monday will see a chance of showers starting at around 3 p.m. before rising in the late evening with an additional chance of thunderstorms and lasting through midnight.

Otherwise it will be cloudy and warm, with a high around 79 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will fall further to around 53 degrees.
