US attorney for area: Travel from Ohio to DC to commit crimes? You will be prosecuted.

U.S. Attorney David DeVillers of the Southern District of Ohio says anyone who traveled from southern Ohio to D.C. to participate in crimes at the U.S. Capitol building Wednesday will be prosecuted in the Southern District of Ohio.

“Make no mistake … Federal crimes were committed today at our nation’s Capital building. Anyone who traveled from the Southern District of Ohio with the intent to commit such crimes will be prosecuted in the Southern District of Ohio,” DeVillers tweeted on Wednesday.

An angry group of President Donald Trump supporters entered the U.S. Capitol building, which went into lockdown.
