Unemployment rates in Clark, Champaign counties unchanged in latest monthly report

Unemployment rates stayed the same in Clark and Champaign counties between November and December.

Clark County’s unemployment rate stayed at 5% in December, while Champaign County’s remained at 4.1%, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

However, both counties saw a dip in the number of people listed as employed or looking for work between those months. That data, known as the labor force, is a rough estimate of those counties residents who are either employed or actively searching for work.
