Projects continue on major highways

The pace of road and bridge closings around the region keeps picking up. Be careful especially on South Main Street in Dayton where construction activity is heavy. Work continues on every major highway in the region. Here are the closures for the week of April 20.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

• State Route 202 between Valley Street and Chapel Street, road closed through April 27. The official detour is: Valley Street to Chapel Street to Troy Street.

• State Route 48 between Wampler Avenue and Westbrook Road. Daily lane closures through Sept, 30 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• I-75 north between U.S. 35 and Main Street, lane closure April 21 between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. One northbound lane will remain open at all times.

• I-75 north ramp to I-70 west, lane closure April 21 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open on the ramp at all times.

• U.S. 35 westbound ramp to I-75 southbound, nightly ramp closure through April 25 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The official detour is: U.S. 35 west to I-75 north to Main Street to I-75 south.

• U.S. 35 eastbound between Gettysburg Avenue and Abbey Avenue, lane closure through May 4. Two eastbound lanes will remain open at all times.

• State Route 725 bridge over the Great Miami River and railroad tracks in Miamisburg. Annual bridge inspections April 21 between the hours of 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Single lane closures will be in effect while crews evaluate the bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge during inspections.

• Dixie Drive north and south between U.S. 40 and Cresthill Avenue, lane closures through August. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

CLARK COUNTY

• I-70 eastbound between State Route 235 and State Route 4, nightly lane closures through June 1 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This will become a double lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. One eastbound lane will remain open at all times.

• I-70 between Enon Road and U.S. 68, lane addition project. Two lanes are open in each direction. In some areas, three lanes are open in each direction.

MIAMI COUNTY

• I-75 north and south near Fair Road, Nightly lane closures through April 24 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• U.S. 36 bridge over the Great Miami River, annual bridge inspections Wednesday, April 22nd between the hours of 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Single lane closures will be in effect while crews evaluate the bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge during inspections.

• State Route 48 bridge over Ludlow Falls, annual bridge inspections April 23 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Single lane closures will be in effect while crews evaluate the bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge during inspections.

• State Route 55 between State Route 202 and North Market Street in Troy, road closed May 4. The official detour is: State Route 202 to State Route 41 to State Route 55.

SHELBY COUNTY

• I-75 north and south between State Route 47 and County Route 25A (Sidney), lane closures through May 15 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• I-75/State Route 29 interchange, ramp restrictions through Sept. 30. All ramps at this interchange will be restricted to 10-foot lanes. Ramps will remain open at all times, but may have flaggers directing traffic at certain times.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY

• Ohio 296 between Ohio 245 and Ohio 814, 24 road closed through April 27. The official detour is: Ohio 245 to Ohio 507 to U.S. 68 to Ohio 296.
