Tecumseh, Graham celebrating Halloween with trick or treat events

Although this year may be different, some school district are still working to keep the celebration of Halloween alive.

Tecumseh Local School District will still host a socially distanced Trunk or Treat event and Graham Local School District will also be hosting a trick or treat event.

Tecumseh High School’s AFJROTC is hosting a trunk or treat event from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the high school parking lot, 9830 W. National Road.

Families participating are asked to remain in their cars as traffic will be directed, and masks are required as they make their way to each trunk.

“Put on your best costumes, enjoy the candy and have fun,” Superintendent Paula Crew said.

Graham High School’s National Honor Society will be hosting a trick or treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the St. Paris First Central National Bank, 103 S. Springfield St.

The event will include candy, pumpkin painting, coloring pages, scavenger hunt, Halloween games and a family photo booth.

Triad Local School District was originally also going to host a trunk or treat event on Thursday but it was canceled due to expected bad weather.

“We are sorry to have to cancel but are expected to get lots of rain throughout the day tomorrow and the weather is bad during the times of the event,” Superintendent Vickie Hoffman said on Wednesday.

The elementary students will still dress up today and do trick or treat at the middle school where they walk the halls and get candy at the end.
