Syrup attack, domestic assault leads to arrest

A man charged with aggravated burglary and abduction is accused of pouring syrup and other food items on his son and the child’s mother.

Police responded to the 300 block of Lincoln Park Circle on a domestic situation, and found items thrown about and syrup on the walls and floor, according to court records.

The victim told police that Titus L. Moore forced his way into her apartment around 8 p.m. May 23 and started slapping her and pulling her hair. She told police Moore then poured syrup, flour and other items on her, and that the abuse continued overnight. Their 2-month-old son also had syrup on his clothing, according to police.

The victim was able to force her way out of the apartment and call police for help.

Moore’s bond was set at $20,000.
