Sunny, unseasonably warm weather expected through weekend

A high pressure system will dominate the weather through the weekend, bringing unseasonably warm temperatures and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

On Friday, the NWS said that there is a possibility that we might break daily heat records this weekend or early next week.

The record high for Nov. 7 in Dayton is 76 degreees, set in 1938, Nov. 8 is 75 degrees, Nov. 9 is 79 degrees, and Nov. 10 is 71 degrees.

Today, temperatures will be generally be around 10-15 degrees above normal, the NWS said, with highs around 73 degrees. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 48 degrees.

Sunday, temperatures are even expected to be a touch warmer, rising to around 75 degrees. Skies will again be mostly clear with a few clouds. Overnight lows will be around 52 degrees.

Highs on Monday will stay around the same level, around 75 degrees, before temperatures fall to around 56 degrees overnight.
